Emily Ratajkowski's Full #OscarsSoBlack Instagram Story

So last night was apparently when Emily Ratajkowski got back into the popular press after her semi-naked fall from grace as Kendall Jenner’s “friend”. A quasi apology followed, involving plenty of mortification and damage control through Photoshopping. Pretty standard-issue behaviour to be sure, but does it ever get old? For Ratajkowski, it looks like it’s only just getting started.

We get it. Your career exploded and your face will appear on billboards and magazines and your life, life, is better than it’s ever been. You’re Usain Bolt but with a more serious side to your personality. So, of course, some of that privacy now seems like a sacrifice worth making. You must reap what you sow.

Anyway, Ratajkowski had an impressive turn this weekend, fronting a new series of #OscarsSoBlack social media events that attracted literally thousands of participants.

It was quite a party. I personally shot a video of old footage from I Don’t Feel at Home In This World Anymore, featuring Van der Beek [John Boyega, a current favourite with Ratajkowski], and recreated it using my sister, fiancé and grandma – my amazing grandmother – and myself. We basically performed the scene out in the LA sunshine for an amazing amount of people. #NoRoutineNoProblem #Blackout #OscarsSoBlack 🙌🏽🌟⚜️. It also looks like the cat has a few more whiskers these days. That’s how it was in I Don’t Feel at Home in This World Anymore. The sequel.

Ouch. Though it’s not all bad, mind you.

Or “fake news.”

If you did not get to see the last 3 months on screen, I hope you enjoyed the EPIC Netflix series 13 Reasons Why that premiered today. It was so much fun to do the tour around, watching people’s reactions to the TV series while in character as Blurred Lines. Also I’m happy that people are really starting to get how really important Consent in every moment is in life. Love, Emily
